Total Organic Carbon Analysis (TOC)

Total organic carbon (TOC) determination is an indirect measure of organic molecules present in waters for health care product use.  Organic molecules are introduced into the water from the source water, from purification and distribution system materials, and from biofilm growing in the system.  TOC can also be used as a process control attribute to monitor the performance of water system operations in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals and medical devices.

Pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers using water for manufacturing with a define water quality of Purified Water, Pure Steam and Water for Injection must meet the requirements of United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) Chapter <643> for TOC content along with Conductivity and Bioburden Count to ensure that the end product is not contaminated for its intended use.

LexaMed uses state-of-the-art equipment that achieves very low TOC detection limits with rapid turnaround time to assist you with your critical water testing objectives.
